What you can learn in this course

What you can learn in this course

Comprehensive Japanese language skills to gain admission to universities and vocational schools

Students will acquire the Japanese language skills necessary to enter a Japanese university or vocational school in Japanese. Students will learn the operational, expressive, and logical thinking skills necessary to actively participate in classes at their school of higher education.
In addition to acquiring knowledge of grammar and vocabulary, students will learn the four skills of speaking, listening, writing, and reading in a well-balanced manner in practical classes to be able to “actually use” the language.

Test Preparation (EJU, JLPT, Entrance Exam Preparation)

Taking into consideration each student’s native language and aptitude, the classes are divided into small groups so that students can acquire the ability to obtain high scores effectively and without difficulty. Our instructors constantly analyze the latest question trends and the question tendencies of various universities.
In the classes, students will not only solve problems, but also learn reading and listening skills, which are the basis for solving problems, and techniques to achieve higher scores, which cannot be done by self-study.

Basic Subjects
(Mathematics・Science・Social Studies・English)

EJU and University Entrance Examinations require the ability to answer questions in Japanese on basic subjects studied up to high school. In the classes, instructors who have experience in teaching foreigners and expertise in basic subjects will teach in easy and understandable Japanese. Students can choose subjects according to their own goals and aim for a high score on EJU not only by learning to answer questions in Japanese based on the knowledge they have learned in their home country but also through explanations of key points by the latest trends in the questions.

What you need to do to enter a university or vocational school in Japan

EJU / JLPT

Universities: Each school and department has different examination requirements (EJU) and passing levels (JLPT). Some universities set a standard EJU score in the application requirements.
Vocational schools: Some schools require a passing level (N2 or N3) on JLPT or a standard score on EJU as a qualification for application.

Interview

Interview tests are to verbally convey your enthusiasm for enrolling in the school of your choice. In addition to giving a convincing reason for your application, you will also be tested on your ability to listen and speak Japanese to see if you can keep up with the classes after entering the school.

Statement of Reason for Application

“Statement of Reason for Application” is a very important document for entrance examinations. Most universities and vocational schools require applicants to submit a statement of reasons for applying. You need to write a statement of purpose that is persuasive and unique to you, such as “the reasons why you want to study at that school” or “the reasons why you want to study that specialty”.

Academic Skills

Students need to acquire various academic skills as a basis for learning specialized knowledge in higher education. Use your Japanese “speaking, listening, writing, and reading” skills to “gather information,” “write essays and reports,” and “make effective presentations”.

What you need to do to enter a university in Japan:

At least 12 years of study in your home country
International students from countries with 11 years of schooling can be qualified for university entrance exams if they study basic subjects along with Japanese at a Japanese language school with preparatory courses.

EJU
It is used in many entrance examinations.
